About the contest

The Nakamura Keith Haring Collection International Children's Drawing Contest was created as an opportunity for children to express their dreams and hopes for the future without any boundaries.

Since 2009, the competition has been held under the recognition of the Keith Haring Foundation, and each year, many entries are received from around the world, with the winning works exhibited at the museum along with Haring's artwork. In recent years, we have noticed that many children have become more and more interested in environmental issues, and from 2022, the competition has been transformed into an environmental/sustainability competition. We look forward to receiving your entries again this year.
