Banana Windmill

Yuito Aruga

Yamanashi, Japan 5 years old

Spinning a windmill with my favorite banana.

Judge's Comment

This is a very colorful and imaginative piece. The idea of transforming favorite bananas into a windmill is wonderful! I hope you continue to find joy in creating art.

Peace of the Past

Koshiro Wakai

Yamanashi, Japan 17 years old

I drew this because I thought the time after school when everyone played together in elementary school was peaceful.

Judge's Comment

Landscapes like those in this artwork were common sights during my childhood. Nowadays, it’s not as easy to catch insects or play in rice fields. I hope Japan—and the world—will once again be places where children can play in fields and meadows as they did in the past.
