Judge's Comment

The many layered colors are so deep and beautiful that I felt I could gaze at this painting for hours. One can sense how the artist, with both joy and hesitation, concentrated on depicting the new scenery that emerged between the overlapping hues. The work conveys the importance of kindness nurtured when everyone spends time with a calm and gentle heart.

I thought that kindness begins with "listening," so I created a collage shaped like an ear. Additionally, I used yarn to symbolize the act of "leaning in and connecting," conveying the meaning behind it.

Judge's Comment

Listening is the starting point of mutual understanding—the first step toward kindness. I thought this was a wonderful perspective. The composition of the work is solid, and though the number of colors is limited, the palette creates a sense of movement. It is a delightful piece filled with many creative design elements.
